Son Of Ramsdencon
Welcome |
|
What is SoRCon?SoRCon is a freestyle board games convention. SoRCon was born out of the hugely popular Ramsdencon, which sadly finished in 2007. SoRCon (Son of RamsdenCon) carrys on the fine tradition of friendly open games playing accompanied by various distractions which may include, but may not be limited to, a Quiz, a Charity Auction, New and Secondhand Games to Buy, Playtesting Opportunities etc. |
|
| Special thanks go out to those who supported the first five SoRCons. Thanks to your support we have been able to donate £1000 to BOSP :) |
|
|
SoRCon 6 will take place from 2pm Friday 1st March 2013 through to 5:30pm on Sunday 3rd March 2013. |
|
| Due to capacity constraints we will have to limit bookings to 80 people for 2013, so please get your bookings in as soon as possible to avoid disapointment. | |
| As per last year we will have a "quiet" room available all weekend for those wishing to play longer games or for play testing. Please register your interest in booking a table in the quiet room via our Facebook page or the Yahoo group. | |
| We will also be running bring and buy table again. Please bring a list of your games with you and the committee members will take the money during the weekend. | |
| Further updates will be published through the mailing list, if you do not receive an e-mail please e-mail us and we'll check our records. | |
Essex Games Day
The SoRCon committee are also organising games days at the Writtle Village Hall (CM1 3DU)
The next Chelmsford Games day will be December 9th 2012
Doors will open at 10am and we will be closing at 5:00pm
£5.00 cash on the door. Tea and coffee facilities will be available on an honour donation system and various treats may also be available to purchase. It's probably best to bring your own food, but there are local pubs and a restaurant. There is also a garage or a small Co-Op about 5 minutes walk.
We will make an area available for anyone wanting to sell their games, but this will be a very ad-hoc facility and we can not take any responsibility for the games. Please bring your own post-it notes or an alternative way for people to identify your games and the prices.
Further games days will be arranged and dates will be published on this website, through Facebook, the Yahoo group and by e-mail.
